City Government Options Review Sub-Committee

AGENDA

The Merrimack Charter Commission’s Sub-Committee studying the various forms of city government available to New Hampshire municipalities under NH RSA 49-C will convene at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 in the East Wing Conference Room of Town Hall. The Sub-Committee will meet for the purpose of drafting an overview for each of the various city government options. The report will include, but is not limited to, addressing the following:

Organizational / Structure Chart;

Budgeting process,

Method(s) used to adopt ordinances;

Requirements for the approval of bonds and other financing;

Adoption or revisions to planning and zoning regulations; and

Conducting elections.

The Sub-Committee’s report is expected to be presented at the Merrimack Charter Commission’s meeting of August 16, 2005.
